The Security Service of Ukraine was involved in the search for vandals

The SBU was involved in the identification of the persons who poured paint on the monument to Bandera, and their detention.

Not only operatives, but also the SBU were involved in identifying the vandals and detaining them. The violators were students of one of the Lviv universities. The actions of the men are qualified under Part 3 of Article 297 (abuse of a grave, other burial place or the body of the deceased) of the Criminal Code. The students face up to seven years in prison.
