The state bureau of investigations suspects the current employee of the SBU of creating an organized criminal group

According to the investigation, the current security officer organized a criminal group that engaged in extortion with the use of violence.
The SBR established that in may 2019, knowing that the so-called "bookmark" (a cache of drugs) is located in the forest belt of Kharkiv, six members of the group ambushed. The suspects demanded 100,000 UAH from the person who took the substance, threatening physical violence and criminal liability. The victim had no money, so they took him to a notary and drew up a fictitious loan agreement for the corresponding amount. According to the state Bureau of investigation, the suspects demanded $3,000 from the victim of the next ambush and received 57,000 UAH.
