In the Poltava region, the police opened a case against the mayor of the city of Khorol, Sergei Voloshin, for publishing a photo with the flag of the USSR Navy with the image of a hammer and sickle. The police have launched an investigation into the use of banned symbols of the communist regime. According to the information of the investigation, on July 25, Sergei Voloshin, together with friends, celebrated the Day of the Navy and was photographed with the flag of the USSR naval forces. For the production, distribution and public use of such symbols in Ukraine, a penalty of up to five years in prison is provided.
