A major of the security Service of Ukraine who extorted a bribe from a representative of Zaporizhia titanium and magnesium plant has escaped criminal punishment.
In August 2015, he promised to stop the criminal prosecution of the plant's management and stop checking the company's activities for a bribe of 50 thousand hryvnias. The officer was detained after receiving funds.
In October of this year, the Zaporozhye court released the bribe taker from criminal punishment after the Statute of limitations expired.
