A former Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko donated 19 million hrn. so that to let general Marchenko be released on bail. He is suspected of purchasing of low-grade body armour for Ukrainian soldiers.
It has been established that Ukrainian Defense Ministry purchased 20 thousand bulletproof vests priced at 176 million hrn. At least 7 thousand of them were non-acceptable. The amount of damages was about 61 million hrn.
