President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy approved the decision of the NSDC to impose sanctions against the MP from the PLO and the owner of the Novosti media holding Taras Kozak. The restrictions entailed blocking of broadcasting of TV channels ZIK, NewsOne and 112 Ukraine. The basis for the NSDC decision was an investigation by the Security Service of Ukraine. According to the department, the companies owned by Kozak were allegedly engaged in the supply of coal from the Donbass and thereby contributed to the financing of terrorism.
