A week ago, on December 19, law enforcement officers reported on the detention in the port of Yuzhny of a large consignment of cocaine weighing 54 kilograms. According to Strana sources, it was possible to seize the drug thanks to the connections of the border service operatives with foreign colleagues. The intercepted consignment of cocaine was a so-called “controlled” supply. Foreign drug services knew when and who was shipping the illicit substance, “led” the shipment and planned to track the entire supply chain. However, upon the arrival of the drug in Yuzhny, Ukrainian law enforcement officers decided to exponentially seize cocaine in order to report on the successful detention. Thus, the police and the SBU actually failed someone else's carefully prepared operation.
